About Our Society
The LSESU China Development Society (CDS) was established in 2002 at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). As the pioneer organisation on campus to focus on issues surrounding China's development and rapidly changing landscape, we have established ourselves as one of the few highly respected societies on campus with a membership base of over 3000 students, alumni and professionals.
Over the past 22 years, CDS has become one of the most influential organisations among elite universities. Among our initiatives, the LSE China Development Forum and the LSE China-Britain Business Forum have become two of the largest China-themed forums in Europe. The two events together have invited more than 500 high-profile guests and have had over 10,000 attendees.
